Membership & rates

Know the club.
Know the costs.

Ownership, monthly dues, and aircraft time are three different pieces. Here’s how they fit together.

01

Shares

Members must own at least 7 shares to join and fly. Additional shares affect the hourly aircraft rate. Shares do not replace the aircraft access category.

02

Monthly dues

Your dues category determines which aircraft you may access, subject to checkout and club requirements. Higher dues categories include aircraft in lower categories.

03

Aircraft time

Aircraft rates are wet—fuel is included—and billed by tach time. Independent instructor fees are separate and paid directly to your instructor.

Current rates & dues

Effective April 1, 2024. These rates remain in effect.

Hourly aircraft rates include fuel and are billed by tach time. Monthly dues are based on your access category, not added together: Archer access includes the Warrior; Bonanza access includes all three aircraft. Independent instruction is arranged and paid for separately.

Bonanza / club requirements

Capability comes
with responsibility.

Your path into the Bonanza starts with the club’s experience requirements and an Flying Country Club approved checkout.

200 hours

Minimum total flight time.

20 hours or 10 hours

20 hours in a similar type (high performance and complex), or 10 hours of dual instruction.

Every 30 days

VFR-only pilots are required to fly the Bonanza every 30 days to remain current in the Bonanza.

These are club requirements. Applicable FAA requirements, instructor approval, and current FCC operating policies still apply.

A few useful answers

Before you join.

Is Flying Country Club a flight school?

No. FCC is a member-owned flying club. Instructors are independent, rostered, and approved to instruct in club-owned aircraft. Students arrange and pay for instruction directly with their instructor.

Can a student pilot join?

Yes. You can start with no previous flight experience and work with an FCC-approved independent instructor. Your instructor will guide the appropriate training, eligibility, and solo requirements.

Can I take an overnight or multi-day trip?

Overnight and multi-day trips are welcome, subject to aircraft availability, scheduling rules, and current club policies. Members may hold up to four separate reservations at a time.

Do more shares give me access to more aircraft?

No. Share count affects hourly aircraft rates. Monthly dues category controls aircraft access, subject to the relevant checkout and operating requirements.
